WNYBAC’s Summer of BookFest 2021

Saturdays, July 10 – August 21

At the WNY Book Arts Center (WNYBAC), celebrating the “art of the book” is a daily ritual. During the month of July, WNYBAC is especially busy with the orchestration of Summer of BookFest. Starting on Saturday, July 10, and carrying on throughout Saturday, August 21, book lovers are invited to partake in the 10th Annual BookFest.

Every Saturday during the festival, WNYBAC will host “fun, free & family friendly artmaking activities,” starting with Bookmaking ABC’s (create a book from start to finish in this hands-on demo) on July 10 (the festival kick-off).

By visiting WNYBAC for Summer of BookFest, book enthusiasts will get a chance to learn the ins and outs of the art of bookmaking, which is considered an endangered artform. Thanks to establishments such as WNYBAC, people can keep the art of the book alive, by participating in printmaking and bookmaking demos, attending a Bookfest Artist Market, or even attending gallery activities.

To learn more about Summer of BookFest, you can visit wnybookarts.org.

Note: Summer of BookFest events (on Saturdays) are family-friendly, free, and open to the public.
