Plan2Peak: Two Days of Buffalo Stage Race

A USA Cycling 3 Stage Bicycle Race

Presented by East Aurora Racing Club, Plan2Peak brings exciting bike racing to Buffalo. The event, sanctioned by USA Cycling (USAC), is a 3-stage race that includes a South Park Criterium (The Kanberra South Park Criterium). People are invited to attend a “watch party” on that day, which will give spectators a chance to get up close to see all of the action.

Come watch the spectator friendly Stage 2 Kanberra Criterium 0n July 31 at 2655 South Park Avenue—Buffalo, New York 14218:

  • Elite Women @ 2:00pm
  • Elite Men @ 3:00pm

General Admission is free! The start/finish area is located adjacent to the Buffalo and Erie Count Botanical Gardens. A limited amount of VIP seating may be available. Contact if interested.

Race Overview

Two Days of Buffalo Stage Race is a two-day, 3 stage – stage race. The stages will be as follows:

  • Stage 1 – Saturday July 31st 2021 – The Kanberra McKinley Time Trial (road bike only)
  • Stage 2 – Saturday July 31st 2021 – The Kanberra South Park Criterium (2655 South Park Avenue – spectator friendly)
  • Stage 3 – Sunday August 1 – Tom’s Pro Bike Pendleton Road Race

The race series is being spearheaded by Race Director Tom Weichmann, who is excited to bring this type of event back to Buffalo, with stage categories that feature:

  • Men’s 1/2/3, Men’s 4/5
  • Women’s 1/2/3, Women’s 4/5
  • Master’s 45+

As for top prize, the racer who accumulates the most points from all 3 stages, will be declared the overall stage race winner.

It’s not every day that these types of races are held in Buffalo. If you’re an avid cyclist, race enthusiast, or you’re just looking for something different to do, consider coming out and cheering the racers on.
