Buffalo was once known for its avid wrestling scene. Now, thanks to promoters and organizers such as Brett Stymus, who in now running ESW (founded in 2002), it is not uncommon to pack these shows that draw up to 400 fans (the annual “super show” attracts upwards of 1,000 people).
2021 Brawlfest will feature:
- Former ESW Heavyweight Champions “The Remix” Kevin Bennett, “Big Time” Bill Collier and”The Patron Saint of Professional Wrestling” Brandon Thurston.
- ESW Interstate Champion Frankie Feathers, “None of a Kind” Anthony Gaines, “Invincible” Vince Valor and To Infinity & Beyond (ex-WWE star Colin Delaney and ex-ROH star Cheech) will be in action.
- Several of the top independent wrestling stars from around the Northeast US
World Wrestling Entertainment stars (past and present) that have wrestled in ESW’s ring include Kevin Owens, MVP, Jinder Mahal, Cedric Alexander, Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, Bobby Fish, Damian Priest, Candice LeRae, Joaquin Wilde, Oney Lorcan, Robert Stone, Joe Gacy, Nash Carter, Matt Hardy, Billy Gunn, Dustin Rhodes, MJF, Orange Cassidy, Eddie Kingston, Colt Cabana, Lucha Bros, Best Friends, The Butcher and The Blade, Allie, Matt Sydal, Ethan Page, Evil Uno, Private Party, Shawn Spears, Bear Country, and Mark Sterling.
Countless other pro wrestling legends have made special appearances at ESW matches over the years.

Prior to the start of the event, ESW will host its second ever tailgate party. For $10, fans can get 10 dunk tank throws, which will feature several of ESW’s top villains, plus 25 percent off all other Buffalo RiverWorks attractions that day such as the ropes course, kayaks, silo climbing and the zip line.
