Construction Watch: Larkin Projects

Larkin Development Group is wrapping up work on three infill buildings on Seneca Street. They were built on parcels east of Larkin Square and were all designed by Schneider Architectural Services.

The largest, Mill Race Commons, is located at the southeast corner of Seneca and Hydraulic streets. The five-story building includes 70 apartments and 13,000 square feet of retail space.

Apartments include studio, one and two bedroom units ranging in size from 582 to 1,239 square feet. Residential amenities include onsite parking, an outdoor pool, fire pits, grill, roof deck, fitness center, dog park and indoor bike storage. All apartments include washers and dryers and walk-in closets. Occupancy begins next month.

Two additional buildings are complete at 864-872 Seneca Street just west of Smith Street. 872 Seneca includes 8,000 square feet of space anchored by Paula’s Donuts and apartments on the second floor. Paula’s is now open everyday from 7 am until 3 pm (see next post).

864 Seneca (pictured here) has first floor retail and apartments above it. Combined, 864-872 Seneca Street have six apartments including two one-bedroom units with 708 and 755 square feet and four two-bedroom units ranging in size from 976 to 1,012 square feet. Apartments are currently leasing.
