Ellicott Development has purchased an historic building on Elm near Broadway. Ellicott’s 9187 Group LLC bought 177 Elm Street from Ferguson Electric Co. yesterday for $400,000. The three-story building contains 12,480 sq.ft. of space and is adjacent to 173 Elm Street that Ellicott Development renovated in 2015.
177 Elm is part of a rare row on 19th Century buildings still standing in the downtown area. 173 Elm, the former Keiser & Boasberg Tobacco Warehouse that was renovated by Ellicott Development, contains office space and five high-end apartments. The two buildings at 181 Elm Street to the north were purchased by Castle & Palace LLC in 2017 and remain unoccupied.
