This year’s Music is Art festival (MiA) has a number of fun special surprises in store for visitors. Not only will even more of the Buffalo RiverWorks grounds be used to host artists and musicians, across the river, Buffalo River Fest Park will be in full swing. Yes, since finding its home at this adult playground at the waterfront, MiA has managed to outgrow even its own boundaries, which meant that there was a need for a satellite stage (or two). That’s where The Green Gymnast C.C. comes into play.
The Green Gymnast C.C. has teamed up with MiA, and Terrapin Station, to create another live music sound stage along the water, visible from the shores of Buffalo RiverWorks. That means that festival-goers can embark from RiverWorks via Tuk-Tuk, or Tiki Boat, or simply by foot (over the Michigan Street Bridge) to pay a visit to The Magic Carpet Ride Stage. According to host The Green Gymnast C.C.., this magical stage is, “A journey of diversity, where music and movement are the universal languages.”
During the 2019 MiA, be sure to catch a Magic Carpet Ride, and become enlightened with The Green Gymnast C.C. and friends in the process. The stage runs from 11am to 11pm, Saturday September 7, at River Fest Park, featuring the following acts:
