Toronto-based Gold Wynn Residential is bringing an affiliate south of the border. A Wynn Fitness Club is coming to Cathedral Place located at 298 Main Street. Gold Wynn purchased the mixed-use building in January from Kissling Interests.
Wynn Fitness Clubs operates four facilities in the Toronto area: Richmond Hill, Meadowvale, and two in Mississauga. The centers offer fitness classes, personal training, and both individual and corporate memberships. The facility promises to be a big hit for this area of Main Street with a number of residential projects open and planned on surrounding blocks and the massive redevelopment of the Seneca One complex to the south.
The Wynn Group of Companies started more than 40 years ago and is now involved in fitness clubs; renewable energy; storage; plastic injection molding and assembly; furniture; and appliances. The company has holdings in Los Angeles, the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic and Israel, through its Wynn Group International. Through Gold Wynn, it owns multi-family properties in Tulsa and Buffalo.
Cathedral Place includes Mon Ami café on the first floor fronting Cathedral Park, 50,000 square feet of office space anchored by Campus Labs, and 26 apartments on floors 7 through 11.
