Rochester A-List launches two events in Buffalo

Last month I wrote about a Rochester “adventure group” that was beginning to take an interest in Buffalo (see here). Since that time, the group has been planning on setting up a couple of new adventures in and around The Elmwood Village. Both events take place on Saturday, August 10 – the same day as The Flutterby Festival. And anyone is invited to sign up, no matter if they are from Buffalo or Rochester.

The first event is the Buffalo Bike Ride Brewery Tour, which will get underway starting at 11am. The bike tour includes stopovers to three breweries – Thin Man Brewery (Elmwood), Community Beer Works, and Resurgence Brewery (Niagara Street). A $30 ticket includes three craft beer flights, a guided tour, and great company from residents of two great cities! Visit this Facebook event page for additional details.

The second event is a Happy Hour with City Walk – for those who don’t want to cycle to breweries, this is a walking tour of Elmwood Avenue, starting at 2pm. Rochester A-List has teamed up with the following bars and restaurants, which are the highlights of the tour:

  • Forty Thieves Kitchen & Bar – Sample their raved about Buffalo wings and delicious sandwiches on the front patio or at The Flutterby Beer garden in back. Food and drink specials TBA.
  • Breezy Burrito Bar – Tequila! We’re headed southwest for bold flavors of Breezy’s Tex Mex cuisine. Food and drink specials TBA.
  • Thin Man Brewery – Toast summer from the rooftop bar and enjoy great craft beer and food. Food and drink specials TBA.

Tickets for this walking tour are $12. This is the perfect opportunity to explore Elmwood Avenue, with some great pitstops along the way. Each of these three restaurants will also be serving up Flutterby Honey Blonde beer that day, which is brewed by Thin Man right on Elmwood Avenue!

*If you’re not into beer, all of the stopping points on both tours have alternative options, including cocktails, wine, and ciders.
