Picture this: A lazy hazy summer day, sitting in the park, drinking a locally crafted beer. Ok, now wake up! Was it a dream? Actually, no. Resurgence Brewing Co. is launching a new initiative in collaboration with the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy, to bring a new series to the park system called “Pints in the Park”. The series is essentially a set of Pop Up Beer Gardens, where Resurgence “pops up” with mobile beer gardens throughout the Olmsted parks.
Are you thinking what I’m thinking? “Brilliant!”
This is the type of action that you might come across in Bryant Park in NYC. You know, where people sit in the park, eating and drinking, while watching life (and the pigeons) go by. Plus, partial proceeds goes to The Conservancy, so it’s a win-win all the way around.
“We have some wonderful parks here in Buffalo, and this is just another great way to get out and enjoy them,” said Jeff Ware, Resurgence. “Pints in the Park will feature several draft beer offerings, yard games, music and food (TBD). All are encouraged to bring picnic blankets, lawn chairs, and their own food.”
Assuming the weather cooperates, Resurgence plans to hold 2 more Pop Ups through the month of August and roll out a larger program next summer. See below for details on events. For more information please visit the website at: Resurgencebrewing.com or call (716) 768-6018.
