National Night Out is Tuesday, August 6. This is the night where neighbors turn off their TVs and tune into their neighborhood. It’s a night where people join together in unity, to sit on their front porches, to deter crime. This annual event reminds people to keep their lightbulbs on their front porches lit at night… to keep a watch out for criminal activities… to work with their district police officers… and other ways to make streets safer and more welcoming in general.
Please bring a side dish or dessert to pass & a lawn chair.
Each year, during National Night Out, The Allentown Association, Kleinhans Community Association, and Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus invite friends, families, and neighbors to enjoy a community picnic on the lawn of Symphony Circle on Pennsylvania Street (in front of Kleinhans Music Hall).
The event starts at 6pm, and includes a chance to meet new neighbors, meet B-District Police Chief and Officers, and meet a Common Councilmember and other City Officials. There will also be a real fire engine at the event, which children will be able to climb upon!
Come grab a free hotdog, listen to live music, and show your support for this vibrant historic district that is the backbone of so many rebounding West Side neighborhoods. Click here to learn more about the event.
If you can’t make it to the event, be sure to host your own little National Night Out gathering on your front porch, or in your front yard. To learn more about this undertaking, click here.
