The 2019-2020 season of the annual Horsefeathers Community Indoor Market looks like it it’s going to be a great one. Building tenant Perks is going to be heading up this year’s indoor market affair, thanks to a stalwart commitment from the cafe’s VP, Julie Leone. This market basically runs during the months when the Elmwood-Bidwell Farmer’s Market shutters for the winter season. In order to make this market run all cylinders, it’s important to have someone hands-on within the Horsefeathers Building, which is why Leone/Perks team is the perfect parter for this endeavor.
Already, this year’s Winter Market is looking like it’s going to be well fueled, and not just on caffeine. Thanks to getting an early start on marketing and fielding applications, the market is expected to see as many as 21 vendors on a single Saturday. Perks will also be set up with all of its go-to menu items, along with a fun themed brunch, an apple cider mimosa, and an array of breakfast and brunch specials.
Participating vendors in this season’s market include Green Heron Growers, DJR Ceramics, Kitschy Cross Stitch, The Hook Up Crochet Co., Marigold & Vase, Sugarlumps Illustration, Hempstead Kitchen, The Bloom & Rose, ZDoolanArt, Christina Riccio Ceramics, Felt Frenzy Finds, mmDesign716, Christina & Co. Design, Mapleview Alpacas, Mooks&bru, IZA Does IT, The NonSense Garden, Up North Apothecary, Rusted Wheel Pots, Speakeasy Works, Felt Frenzy Finds, Bella Park, ShopsVanur, Mermaid & Weasel, Nelle Design, Brahma Body Butter, Nineteen Sixty, Happihouse Antiques, Dangled Honey, WNY Henna, M.E. “The first Market Day is set for Saturday Oct 26th from 10a-3p and continues every Saturday until Dec 21st. Each Market will coincide with a different themed brunch at Perks, located in the Connecticut St. Storefront. Halloween + Fall inspired Specials will kick off the first themed Brunch at Perks, vendors are encouraged to participate! We are currently in the process of planning Jan – May 2020 dates, but we can guarantee monthly markets will continue in February including Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter + Mother’s Day.” – Julie Leone
