Empire State of Glass II

There’s only one way to get the glass blowing scene in Buffalo going, and that’s to bring the fragmented glass blowing community together. Fortunately, there is a concerted effort underway to do just that.

On Friday October 11 and Saturday October 12, FYP and California Dreamin’ present Empire State of Glass II. The two-day event intends to bolster the workings of the local glass making community, by stringing together glass making artisans who will make and showcase heady glass art. There will also be glass blowing demonstrations, as well as a festive party atmosphere.

We have seen in the past, that there is a real interest in growing the local glass community. There are also a lot of people who are looking to break into the world of glass blowing. Then, there are others who simply want to see and appreciate those who do blow glass, without getting into the movement.

There are few people out there who don’t appreciate the fascinating process of glass blowing. It’s delicate, wondrous, and mesmerizing at the same time. Empire State of Glass II is a chance for everyone to come together to celebrate the process, the artisans, and the creations, all under one roof.

Stay tuned for additional information as it is rolled out. In the meantime… save these dates.
