Another public mural has been completed in Buffalo. This time it’s the work of acclaimed local artist Nicole Cherry, who has recently been creating pieces city-wide. It’s the perfect time to see such a colorful work appear on Niagara Street, as the thoroughfare is going through some dramatic infrastructure changes/improvements. The building seen here just happens to be the future “second location” of Campus Wheelworks, which is why it’s apropos that a bicycle is featured in the mural.
This mural is another gift to the city of Buffalo from the Albright-Knox ( public works of art) – it appears on the side of 1330 Niagara Street, directly across the street from Santasiero’s Restaurant, home to the greatest gluten free pasta fasoola in the world.
So be sure to stop by and get a bite to eat, and then walk across the street and check out this fabulous new addition to a roadway that will soon be one of the best bike routes in the city (while housing a bike shop that kicks butt to boot!).
The mural was funded 5:3 by the building owner, Buffalo Spokes LLC.
