It wasn’t that long ago in Buffalo when it was difficult to find a good vegetarian or vegan meal. Well, times have changed, thankfully. Not only are there a nice variety of non-animal based cafés and restaurants out there, this city also has its fair share of plant-based evangelists that do a great job of rallying people together for a common cause.
For six years, WNY Vegfest has been helping people to forage for organic, plant-based, healthy foods that taste great! Every year, people flock to WNY Vegfest in search of their tried and true favorites, as well as the new kids on the block.
This year’s WNY Vegfest is being held at Buffalo RiverWorks’ sports arena (rain or shine), this coming Sunday, August 4, from 11 AM to 5 PM. The event will feature vendors, demos, classes, speakers, a Hybrid Fitness obstacle courses, and two satellite bars. There’s also a WNY VegFest 5K!
Now, it’s time to get healthy, while learning about all of the devote groups in Buffalo that are doing their part to change the local food landscape, for the better.
