20 of the Top Places to Visit in the US in 2019

Buffalo continues to get some great press – this time it’s a Trip Advisor article that has added The Queen City on The Lake as one of the top 20 places to visit in the US in 2019. Travel writer Olivia Richter says that Buffalo is evolving into an exciting hotspot for art, cuisine, history, and culture. She notes that the city’s architecture, and its close proximity to Niagara Falls are two of the main attractions.

I’m always interested in the photos that these travel writers use, to portray the various cities. In Buffalo’s case, I like that Richter chose an image of The Ice @ Canalside. If I was not familiar with Buffalo, I would want to check the place out – I love the ice skating scene, with the bridges and the tent-like kiosks.

Looking at that photo, can you imagine what it’s going to be like at Canalside, once the Children’s Museum opens, and the Solar Carousel is up and running? The new advancements will be a huge injection of life, that will offer an even better sense of place for anyone visiting our city and our waterfront.
