Just because the snow is falling doesn’t mean that we can’t be thinking about gardening, pollinators, composting, and the like. Whether you’re reading a new gardening book, or growing seedlings, there’s plenty to do when it’s cold outside.
Every winter, Urban Roots Community Garden Center sees to it that we have the resources that we need, to keep our green thumbs busy, whether it’s classes, workshops, presentations, or various hands on activities. Some of the sessions are held at Urban Roots, while others are now held at Massachusetts Avenue Project’s new Farmhouse! There’s even an offsite class being held in May at the Tyler St. Community Garden.
Following is the lowdown of Urban Roots’ free workshop series for new and old gardens.
Space is limited and registration is required. All workshops start promptly at 2pm. Please arrive 10 minutes in advance.
To register or for any questions please email info@urbanroots.org or call 716-362-8982.
