Few people are probably aware that Buffalo’s beloved Pizza Plant, home of the stuffed pods, has been around for 37 years. With two locations in WNY, one at 770 Transit, and the other at Canalside, Pizza Plant has been covering a lot of ground in recent times. Not only is Pizza Plant renowned for its delicious pods (and great salads), it’s also been one of the front running craft beer establishments in WNY. Today, beer lovers make pilgrimages to both locations to sample the latest and greatest beers, along with tried and true brews.
On Wednesday, October 4, Pizza Plant will be hosting its 30th Annual Beer Tasting Event, which is considered “The longest running beer event in NY.” Guests to the event can look forward to a variety of tastings, and discussions centered around 12 coveted craft beers, there will also be some “enlightened education” provided by regional beer brewer-guru Tim Herzog from Flying Bison.
“This event is the longest running Beer event in NYS!” said Pizza Plant co-owner Dan Syracuse. “And this our 30th year – we have a lot to celebrate with so many breweries now in WNY… and Pizza Plant has been part of this evolution.”
For $40 this can all be yours, along with a glass that you can keep, and loads of Pizza Plant’s signature breadsticks. Now, what could be better than that? Oh yeah… a pod. But you can get that on your own.
