When you think of fall, what comes to mind? Leaf peepers, pumpkins, Halloween, and cider of course! These days, cider has taken on a whole new meaning in Buffalo (NY State). That’s because cideries have sprung up that are providing us with some of the best hard ciders in the world. For that reason, The Terrace is organizing the inaugural Cider Fest at the Terrace at Delaware Park. This auspicious seasonal event will be the perfect chance to taste test some of the premier hard ciders in the region, and beyond. The following cideries will be featured at the festival:
Argus Cidery (Austin, Texas)
B. Nektar Meadery (Ferndale, Michigan)
BlackBird Cider Works (Barker, New York & Chandler Street)
Cider Creek Hard Cider (Canisteo, New York)
Embark Craft Ciderworks (Williamson, New York)
Nine Pin Cider (Albany, New York)
The event, held on Saturday, October 13, from 12 PM to 5 PM, will offer guests two tasting tiers:
- Tier 1 Tasting: Signature Cider Tasting glass; 7 tasting tokens – $15
- Tier 2 Tasting: Signature Cider Tasting glass; 15 tasting tokens – $25
One ticket/token provides a guest with one 3oz pour, and more tickets/tokens can be purchased onsite. Find tickets here.
The fall festival will also highlight vendors from Buffalo’s farmers market, fresh baked goods, house made sausages.
If you’re looking for the perfect way to celebrate fall in Buffalo, without heading to the outskirts of the city (which is also a lot of fun), then be sure to put the Cider Fest at the Terrace at Delaware Park on your calendar.
