Wednesday evening I made it a point to stop by an event, hosted by the Chippewa Alliance, at Patina 250’s courtyard. The courtyard has come a long way since it was initially opened. The latest addition is a set of sleek retro Sputnik-style chandeliers. The outdoor bar and lounge features a ton of comfy seating, gas fire pits, a gorgeous water feature, lush greenery, and even games ranging from a large Connect Four to corn hole.
The mastermind behind the courtyard aesthetics is Wes Trump, director of the Art & Style department at Delaware North. Trump, who made design:retail’s annual 40 Under 40 list, has done an excellent job at creating a stylish atmospheric setting, which is perfect for casual drinking and dining, parties, listening to live music, and even yoga.
Throughout the summer, the courtyard hosted a live music series. Now, it’s football season. Feel free to head on over to catch the next Bills’ game on the large screen TV – Sunday, September 30. This is an incredible setting for viewing all of the action.
Along with live music and football viewing, the courtyard serves up a full bar with craft cocktails, a lounge food menu, and games – the outdoor bar/lounge is open weekdays from 4pm until late night, and weekends starting at 2pm, while the weather is nice. The lounge seating is first come, first serve basis, but small groups are able to call ahead and pre-reserve tables.
