After pulling the plug at The Sidway Building, the owner of Perks has opted to invest on Connecticut Street on the city’s West Side. Perks will be taking its successful formula to the Horsefeathers Building, which is home to the beloved Winter Market (Artisan Market) and a number of other business enterprises (346 Connecticut Street).
The new Breakfast + Brunch Café will bring a variety of offerings to the dynamic historic space, including coffee, tea, espresso and specialty beverages, breakfast and lunch, gluten-free and dairy-free selections, and vegan alternatives.
Perks D. of Operations Julie Leone states, “We have wanted to open up in this area for quite some time. The building owners’ value local businesses and artists. As well, the environmental improvements incorporated into this historic building align with our values. The new space will allow for us to continue to expand on our current concept, while introducing beer, ciders, and wine. We also plan to expand on our breakfast and brunch items with introduction of pancakes, French toast, and a dessert bar featuring our new line of vegan ice cream.”
This is going to be a tremendous fit for the space, and will be a big draw for the neighborhood.
“The Frizlen Group likes to welcome Perks Café as the new anchor tenant at the Horsefeathers Building, and we look forward to their grand opening and continued growth,” says Jason Frizlen, Director of Frizlen Group Property Management.
If all goes smoothly moving forward, Perks, owned by Wainfleet Companies, intends to be open on Saturday October 27, 2018.
Perks will continue to operate a second location at the corner of Bryant and Elmwood.
