Buffalo Brew Fab – Fabricators of Beer Keg Tables… and Urinals.

The first time that I ever saw a urinal made out of an upcycled keg of beer, I knew that I had seen it all. Whoever came up with that idea had a mind like nobody else. I remember taking a photo of it and showing it to my wife (who was sitting at the bar). She looked at me sideways and said that it must be a guy thing. Yes, I agreed… I suppose it is a guy thing.

Recently, the owner of Buffalo Brew Fab reached out to me, to tell me about some of his unusual creations that he was making out of old beer kegs. You guessed it – Brandon Farrell, owner of Buffalo Brew Fab, was the guy behind the unusual upcycled creations that I had come across. So I decided to ask Brandon a few questions about his business, to see where he was heading with all of this.

When did you start?

Buffalo Brew Fab officially opened in 5/11/2017 but I started doing projects about a year or so before that. Just some side projects for friends. At that time it was mostly just Keg Tables.

Where is your operation based?

My shop is located at 3030 Genesee Street, Cheektowaga NY 14225. This is where I do a majority of the work. Buffalo Brew Fab does have the capability to come on site and do mobile welding as well. The shop does have a store front that is attached to it and I am aiming to have that open in another couple of months. This will allow people to come in and see the products in person and talk any customization that they would like to see before placing an order.

What’s your best Seller

If you asked me this question about 2 months ago, the answer would have been our Custom Keg Tables. Over the past month or so our Keg Urinals and custom metal signs have really started to outsell the tables.

How did you come up with the idea for the keg urinal?

I saw keg urinals for the first time at NYBP in Lockport and thought they were really cool. After that I started researching online about what went into making them and how they could be improved.

Where can people see your creations around town?

We have been growing like crazy! You can find Buffalo Brew Fab Creations all around WNY, at places like Steelbound Brewery in Ellicottville, 12 Gates Brewery in Williamsville, Jada Blitz Training in Williamsville, and at the World of Beer in the Galleria Mall, to name a few. We have started shipping the urinals nationwide in the past month as well. Currently, we are in about 4 – 5 states and growing!

What’s it going to take to expand across the US, what’s the competition out there?

The US expansion has started to happen, with more orders still to ship. Leveraging platforms like Etsy, eBay, and Amazon (about to start) is going to be huge. As far as the competition goes, I haven’t really seen keg urinals that are completely assembled at a reasonable price like Buffalo Brew Fab has been able to offer.

What are some other products that you are looking to design?

Right now my biggest focus is around the Keg Tables, Keg Urinals, and custom metal sign work. I have been toying around with a couple other products like keg handles and taps and I expect to have those on sale in the few weeks.

There’s a custom element?

I really just want the brewery and bar owners of WNY to know that they have a company locally that can be their one stop shop for all things fabrication and welding. We have the ability to do things like sanitary welding for their tanks, custom metal sign creation for their bars, and custom keg furniture for their guests. If you have a project in mind and are looking to buy local, give us a call – we would be happy to meet and discuss how we can help!
