Wow, just wow. There is not one person on the planet that could have predicted what transpired yesterday in Minnesota. From the very beginning of the game, when the whole crowd was doing the Skol Viking chant, I was thinking, please just keep Allen out of the hospital. Not only did Allen survive, his Bills’ team, from coaches on down, put together the most complete game in memory.
It is easy to see that Allen has remarkable command and his teammates are ready to follow him anywhere. I am sure that the Vikings probably overlooked the Bills just a tad, but regardless of that happening or not, Allen had a tremendous opening half getting first downs (and touchdowns) in every possible fashion. The Defense and Leslie Frazier also stepped up big time and hopefully this is what we can expect from them the rest of the season.
With the Patriots dropping to 1-2, and the hardest part of the Bills schedule coming to an end next week, the Bills may have just saved their season by destroying an NFC powerhouse on the road in every facet of the game. If Josh Allen actually had to show up in the 2nd half, his stats would have been even more eye-popping. Who knows what team is going to show up in Green Bay but all of a sudden, this season has taken a huge turn from the fans’ point of view (especially in the Patriots keep struggling).
One thing is for sure, the Bills proved yesterday that they are NOT the worst team in the league – as soon as this offense upgrades the line and gets some real receivers, the sky is the limit…
