To start, how cool is it that there is a regional women’s pinball league? We were just getting used to pinball’s return to Buffalo, and suddenly we’re seeing leagues within leagues. And why not? After all, it you really step back and see who is playing pinball out there, it’s probably a fairly male dominated activity. Bu that’s not to say that there are not women playing the machines. Actually, quite a few gals are playing, which is why this league has even come about. The league is meant to introduce women to the game. At the same time, it’s about connecting players.
In the case of the The Holiday Silverball Crawl, the intention is to “…socialize, play pinball, and drink beer with other women on a multi-brewery pinball friendly tournament.”
“We love pinball and want to encourage more women to play. Everyone is welcome – any skill/fun level, age, race or kind of ladies. We love playing co-ed too… Buffalo Pinball League, team leagues, Buffalo Pinball Selfie league and tournaments. By creating a women’s group, our goal is to encourage more participation in all pinball events in and around the Buffalo area.” – Buffalo Women’s Pinball
