In celebration of their 1-year anniversary, Thin Man Brewery is closing Elmwood Avenue to traffic from Utica Street to Hodge Avenue for full day of craft beer and live music. In true midsummer eve fashion, they are going all out to give Buffalonians a party to remember!
The stage will face the brewery, in front of the former Casa Di Pizza. Ten bands will play throughout the day and into the evening. The line-up features some of Western New York’s most notable bands including RADARADA, Aircraft, First Ward, The CPX, and Ten Cent Howl. A tent will span Hodge Avenue in case of inclement weather or if you are in need of shade. A limited run of Summer Solstice gear will be available as well. If you can’t make it, (we hope you can!) tune into 103.3 The Edge: Buffalo’s Rock Alternative music station – their DJ, Bentley, will be broadcasting LIVE to update you on what’s happening, and how much fun everyone is having without you.
A huge selection of Thin Man beer will be available on the street and inside the brewery including a limited release 1 year anniversary IPA , the 11 Day Power Play Pilsner which donates back to Roswell Park, their Very Friendly IPA, and Juice Master Sour to name a few. All great beers created by Thin Man Brewery’s mastermind, Rudy Watkins.
“Rudy!…Rudy!…Rudy!”
(the crowd chants as he runs victoriously out of the brewery)
If you’ve dined at Thin Man before you know the menu features creative dishes for carnivores, so, for the Summer Solstice Chef Bruce is going all-out by preparing an enormous pig roast and seafood boil that will accommodate the large crowd expected to attend. If that wasn’t enough, Dino and Todd from Allen Burger Venture will have their grill out, which will feature signature ABV burgers, hot dogs, and more. If you’re not into meat, don’t worry, as Thin Man has thought of you, too. Vegetarian options will be available as well.
It’s not every day you can stand in the middle of Elmwood Avenue with a beer in your hand, so drink up and enjoy (responsibly)!
