Buffalo Magician Rian Lehman to Compete for US Champion of Magic

Local Magician is 1 of 13 to Compete in National Competition

Buffalo is loaded with its fair share of talented magicians. Actually, that’s an understatement. We have some of the best magicians in the land. I’m not sure exactly what that says about our city, but I’ll take it. Just today, another magician popped up on our radar by the name of Rian Lehman. It turns out that Lehman is setting out to compete in one of the nation’s most renowned competitions – Fédération Internationale des Sociétés Magiques (FISM) North American Championship of Magic, hosted by the International Brotherhood of Magicians and the Society of American Magicians (IBM-SAM).

According to Lehman, he has been preparing for this opportunity for years – he says that his jumbo coin routine will go up against magic tricks from twelve other arch competitors. The magician is counting on his experience to pull him through to the big win. Since the age of twelve, he has been performing a wide range of tricks, from sleight of hand to large scale illusions. Lehman is also a business man, it turns out. He founded TMR Productions to promote and enhance his craft. On top of that, he also runs a magic shop at the Sterling Renaissance Faire. Some of this Master Wizard’s YouTube videos show him performing at Walt Disney World, among other places throughout the country.

Let’s all give a hand to Lehman for representing Buffalo at this prestigious show, considered the nation’s largest magic competition. Hopefully, the next time we hear from the magician, he’ll be performing sleight of hand tricks with all of his gold medals.

Lehman will compete during the IBM-SAM convention, July 12th – 15th in Louisville, KY. To book Rian for your next event or to view his work, head over to or for contact info and fun videos.
