2017 Rigidized Riverfest Regatta

If you’re planning on heading down to Buffalo River Fest today, be sure to check out the 2017 Rigidized Riverfest Regatta, hosted by Rigidized Metals. Each year, creative aquatic types spend weeks building their own DIY river crafts, to race them down the Buffalo River. Of course, as we all know, these is really nor “current” to speak of, which means that each of the DIY crafts must rely on their own skills, wits and ingenious maneuvers to win the race.

In the end, the ‘Most Creative Seaworthy Vessel’ wins the cash prize (1st place and runner up). This is a wild and wacky waterfront event that is a blast to watch. It’s also a super family friendly event – the kids will eat it up. 

It’s time to get down to the Buffalo River. Station yourself at any of the numerous viewing areas along the race route:
