Pre-sale tickets for Buffalonia 2017 go on sale this Thursday. The event won’t be held until this fall, but there’s no better time to pick up a pair of tickets. Funds raised at Buffalonia support the ongoing efforts of Matt Urban Human Services Center, which is celebrating 41 years of service in WNY. The organization is named after the most-decorated war veteran in American history! That’s right, Matt Urban was a WWII soldier who grew up in Buffalo’s Broadway-Fillmore neighborhood.
Buffalonia helps support the programs and initiatives offered to more than 21,000 local residents each year.
Today Urban’s legacy lives on in many ways, including the inspirational work that is conducted by the center each and every year. The goal of the center is to revitalize Buffalo neighborhoods, by helping the residents of those neighborhoods. The organization, located at 1081 Broadway, provides the following services to families in need:
- Housing Services
- Senior Services
- Senior Apartments
- Weatherization Program
