The Buffalo Criterium Racing Series is returning to Larkinville, with the first event in the series starting next week, Thursday, May 25. For those who love bike racing, it doesn’t get any better than this. The five race schedule is as follows: May 25, June 1, 11, 15, 22
“We have added a junior category this year and are expecting top racers from all over the northeast,” said race organizer Frank Grillo. “What most people from outside Buffalo say is that Larkin is a great venue and the races are very well done. Fans can enjoy Larking Square, have a beer and a bite to eat all while enjoying some of the best bicycle racing in NYS. We are growing each year and getting great local support. 2017 will see our first weekend race on June 11th. This will be an all day race with many categories starting at 9am and the feature races starting 1:45 pm.”
Typically, these races are held on Thursdays, starting at 6:10pm. Men, women and junior races are held each week. There are even a couple of kids bike races to look forward to.
