Next Generation United is poised to deliver $10 grand to small grassroots organizations and Millenial-led nonprofits. On Friday, May 19, ten nonprofit organizations will be vying for the $5,000 top prize, along with second and third place slots that allocate $2,500 each. The goal for each group is to present an idea that is based upon ideas that deliver upon goals that encompass the “leading edge of social innovation.”
The funds generated from the wins will allow each of these groups to expand and work further upon their concepts. The concepts are being rated on their ability to provide social innovation for the present and for the future.
The community is invited to listen to the pitches, while taking part in the process of determining the results. The host of Pitch Ten is United Way of Buffalo & Erie County.
The 10 pitching organizations are:
Buffalo Architecture Foundation
UB HEALS
Small Business Legal Clinic
Westminster Economic Development Initiative (WEDI)
Mason’s Mission Foundation
Third Estate Ventures
Buffalo Urban League Young Professionals
International Child Advancement, Inc.
B Team Buffalo, Inc.
