Would you like your garden to be on Garden Walk Buffalo 2017?
Share your garden and show pride in your neighborhood and city. Garden Walk this year is Saturday and Sunday, July 29 and 30, from 10 am-4 pm.
APPLY ONLINE HERE: GardensBuffaloNiagara.com. And pardon us – we’re in the middle of building a brand-spankin’-new website.
Anyone can enter. There is no judging of gardens. There are no entry fees. Garden Walk is NOT a contest. All you have to do is fill out the online form and you’re on!
Just two criteria… Gardens must be within the Garden Walk footprint – from the Niagara River to Main Street, and Canalside to the Scajaquada Expressway. You must also let us know that there will be no sales of items at your garden.
New this year, volunteer guides from Explore Buffalo will be on all five Garden Walk shuttles both days of the tour.
Garden Walk Buffalo is the largest garden tour in America.
Garden Walk Buffalo is the largest garden tour in America. It is a free, self-guided tour. No registration or tickets are required to attend. Even the five free shuttle buses are free. All you have to do is pick up a free map at any of our three headquarters around Buffalo’s West Side – and start touring.
Lots of dots… visitors to Garden Walk often look for areas on the map where there is a “critical mass” of dots, so you’ll want to encourage neighbors who are not on the Walk to see if they’d like to participate. Tell them how much fun it is. Please forward this post to your block club, or any other gardeners you know within the Garden Walk boundaries.
Starting with just 29 gardens in 1995, in 2016 the Walk had 407 gardens! This year’s Walk is expected to draw more than 65,000 garden fans from around the U.S., Canada, and beyond. Garden Walk Buffalo has an estimated economic impact of $4.5 million. For more information, visit GardenWalkBuffalo.com.
