Building Bloom: Upcycled Planters

Instead of heading out and spending gobs of money on planters this spring, why not upcycle some of the items that you have laying around the house? On Sunday, April 23, DIY BFLO will be hosting a Build and Decorate workshop at the University Heights Community Laboratory at 9 W. Northrup Place.

During the workshop, members of DIY BFLO will demonstrate the value of repurposing items such as dresser drawers into practical, custom planters by using the simplest of tools. From the different construction techniques to using eco-friendly paints, these workshops demonstrations (by Blue Sky Design Supply) will empower participants to go out and MacGyver all sorts of discarded items, by turning them into useful garden accessories.

BYOD (bring your own drawer) to the workshop, just enter coupon code: DRAWER at checkout to receive your discount. (Note: Event organizers are using the code to count how many drawers they need to supply at the workshop, so only use the code if you have a drawer to bring.
