Buffalo Beer Goddesses launch ‘Hoppily Ever After – A Beer Prom for Adults’

The Buffalo Beer Goddesses (BBG) are on their way towards hosting the city’s inaugural Beer Prom. Similar to typical proms, the event will feature dinner, music entertainment, and a photo booth. And as you probably already guessed, there will also be plenty of craft beer offerings. The other thing that makes this prom so special is that it’s being curated by women beer lovers. Plus, the event is going to take place at one of our new favorite locations in the Old First Ward – the Barrel Factory.

“Like all of our events, Hoppily Ever After is a co-ed fundraiser for our Cicerone Scholarship for Women” says BBG Prom Committee Member Parrish Gibbons Herzog. “We’ve been wanting to pull off a beer prom for years, and we’re thrilled to host this event in such a new and unique space like the Barrel Factory.”

Since 2013, BBG has been promoting a wide array of beer-related events in Buffalo, with the intention to draw more women into the local beer scene. Now they embarking upon a completely different affair – one where they are asking quests to dress to the nines, in formal attire (but be creative if you want).

“Some of the local beer groups have been planning themes, or group outfits. We’re very excited to see everyone re-living, or maybe for the first time, their prom experience!” says Herzog.
