Update: Unfortunately, due to weather forecast, Boom Days has been cancelled for 2017.
Although the ice boom was brought in early this year, Boom Days is still on schedule to be held on Saturday, May 6 (11am to 10:30pm). Boom Days is the official celebration of spring down at the waterfront. Hosted at Silo City, the event draws the community down to the Buffalo River, to partake in numerous activities such as tours, parties, and exhibits. This year, Boom Days is being hosted by Niagara Region Park Interpretive Programs.
To add to the excitement of the event in 2017, there will be tours of the USS Columbia, which is temporarily docked down at Silo City (learn more). The free family friendly event will also feature food trucks, live music, and fish and wildlife displays. This fun-filled festival is a celebration of spring, the waterfront, nature, and the rebirth of Buffalo.
