Bid to Build

Each year, The Foundry hosts a Bid to Build event that includes a variety of maker activities. The event gives the community a chance to check out all of the new advancements at The Foundry, while participating in a live and silent auction. It’s an opportunity to walk away with any number of the wonderful handmade items that are made by the resident artisans. Bid to Build allows visitors to tour the facilities, meet the makers, and enjoy food and drinks at the same time. This year, there will be live music and, for the first time. glass blowing performances!

The money raised at this fun-loving fundraiser will help The Foundry to:

  • Build out the second floor to add more residents
  • Help purchase more tools for the shared lab spaces
  • Scholarships for students to take classes

By this time, most of us have come to understand the importance of The Foundry. The Foundry offers a place for artisans to come together to work, to share, to create, to teach, to showcase their creations, and to be a productive part of the community. Bid to Build allows the community to directly engage these artisans.

Food and Drink (included with ticket) – Enjoy small plates, beer and wine.

Come see firsthand, the important work that is underway at The Foundry. You never know – you may walk away with a one of a kind item that was crafted right here in your own community. Isn’t that what it’s all about?
