It’s been a long time coming, for the UFC to make its way to Buffalo. In 2016, Governor Cuomo signed a bill that legalized and regulated professional mixed martial arts (MMA) in New York. At that time, UFC officials stated that there would be four events per year, for the three years following the official legalization. Those fights would not only be held in NYC, they would also be spread out among Upstate cities including Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Utica, and Albany. Now, for the first time in over 20 years, Buffalo will be host city to a fight, when UFC 210 is held at Key Bank Arena on April 8, 2017.
The main card will air on pay-per-view following prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass – Daniel Cormier (c) vs. Anthony Johnson.
Throughout the day on Saturday, April 8, 103.3 the Edge, UFC, Metro PCS, and Bada Bing Bar and Grill will be showcasing UFC events at Bada Bing on Chippewa. The aired fights will be a countdown to the big fight that evening, starring Daniel Cormier (c) vs. Anthony Johnson. American mixed martial artist Ryan LaFlare and Jamaican mixed martial artist Eddie Gordon will be at Bada Bing from 3pm to 4pm on that day. UFC fans will not want to miss this one.
