3rd annual Expo of the Western New York Sustainable Business Roundtable

As individuals, we must all do our part to lead sustainable lives. By doing that, we all help to contribute to the larger picture – the future of our planet. As citizens, it’s our duty. As businesses and corporations, it’s an obligation. By this point in time, businesses and corporations should be well ahead of where they are right now, if we want really want to affect change. After all, businesses have the ability to contribute in ways that we can hardly fathom.

To foster collaborations that enable our member businesses to act on their sustainability goals, maintain profitability, and promote a healthy community.

If one business starts changing its environmental stance, that leads to a ripple effect. Just think of the wholesale businesses that must adjust their policies. And then there’s the end consumer that purchases the greener products. But how can you make ti happen while keeping an eye on the bottom line? Come meet business and corporate leaders that have already been instrumental in forging ahead in the realm of environmental consciousness and implementation.

WNY Sustainable Business Roundtable is an expo that brings together prominent speakers and exhibitors, to demonstrate the green advancements that are made locally and nationally. In 2017 the expo features four speakers and 50 exhibitors! It is expected that a wide range of advocates will be convening upon the recently renovated “Old” American Axle plant, to attend this remarkable function.

Triple bottom line (or otherwise noted as TBL or 3BL) is an accounting framework with three parts: social, environmental (or ecological) and financial.

*The EXPO starts at 3:00 with the opening of the Exhibitor Space. Local businesses will use this forum to introduce new products and meet new customers. At 5:00 a visionary panel of speakers will describe how their companies transformed and prospered using Triple Bottom Line practices. Vincent Stanley from Patagonia, John Fullerton from the Capital Institute, and Fred Keller from Cascade Engineering will each speak and then they will join a roundtable discussion facilitated by Ali McPherson of NiagaraShare. At 6:30 the Exhibitor Space reopens and the informal mixer begins.
