Tinkergarten comes to Delaware Park

Tinkergarten®, a group that hosts play-based kids classes, is coming to Delaware Park (Rumsey Road) on Tuesday, April 11 from 10am to 11:15am. This is a free trial class, to see if your child is a good candidate for these sorts of organized outdoor play experiences that help them to develop core life skills.

Tinkergarten leader, Elizabeth Turner, will be running the Tinkergarten event, which offers a wide variety of play-based activities, designed to teach youngsters the importance of self-regulation, problem solving, persistence, and curiosity.

Tinkergarten is a weekly, extracurricular early childhood outdoor education program that shares ideas with educational frameworks like Montessori, Waldorf and Reggio Emilia.

This national program encourages children to get outside into nearby parks, to be guided by trained leaders who are responsible for orchestrating fun activities designed to enhance socialization and life skills.
