The Art of Hip Hop by The Dopeness Project

Buffalo’s Hip Hop scene is coming into its own these days. There appears to be good news around every corner, as artist after artist is being recognized on much larger levels. A number of these artists have even managed to attract the attention of some out of town bigwigs.

With recent additions from Buffalo to major labels like Quadir Lateef to Ruff Riders Entertainment and Westside Gunn and Conways’ (Griselda Records) signing to Shady Records by Eminem himself, Buffalo will see its first big Hip Hop acts on a bigger stage.

Thanks to the ongoing successes of major local Hip Hop events such as Battle@Buffalo (Verve/New Era), Hip Hop brunches, and plenty of open mic nights, Hip Hop artists have been able to get the exposure that they have been looking for, for the first time ever.

The Dopeness Project – Be the Change. Be the Light. Be Dope.

This Saturday, March 25 at Expo Market on Main street, a reflection of this love for Hip Hop will be on display. Literally. The Art of Hip Hop will show case the passion and creativity that’s inspired by Hip Hop music and the culture. Art will be on display, and live artists will be creating pieces on the spot, creating masterpieces, in one of the coolest new additions to Main street at Expo. There will also be live music, light refreshments and more. Hip Hop fan or not, the vibe will be positive. Come feel, and see, the vibe.
