Done Deal: Amherst Street Apartment Building Sold

A distinctive apartment building at 1011-15 Amherst Street has traded hands. Gold Wynn Amherst Park LLC purchased the 18-unit property from Michael Wiseman today for $915,000. The four-story building is located just east of Delaware Avenue.

Gold Wynn has properties in Tulsa, Los Angeles, and Buffalo including the Bennet Apartments on E. Morris Avenue, an apartment building at 1165 Delaware, and the Pan American Apartments across the street at 1016 Amherst Street.

In January, the company purchased 69 Delaware overlooking Niagara Square for $5 million.

Sometimes the authors at Buffalo Rising work on collaborative efforts in order to cover various events and stories. These posts can not be attributed to one single author, as it is a combined effort. Often times a formation of a post gets started by one writer and passed along to one or more writers before completion. At times there are author attributions at the end of one of these posts. Other times, “Buffalo Rising” is simply offered up as the creator of the article. In either case, the writing is original to Buffalo Rising.

New windows (at least the 55 windows in the front), better color paint (better yet, remove the paint), clean the masonry, new walkways, repoint the brick, plant three trees, and you go from zero to hero.

Looks like the new owner emptied out the building..good sign!
