Become an Adopt-a-Beach Team Leader!

There are more ways to clean up our waterways than one. If you’re not participating in the Riverkeeper Shoreline Sweep, then why not consider taking on a fun and rewarding role as a team leader for the Great Lakes? That’s right, you can organize volunteers to head up beach clean-ups. Or, if you don’t want to head up a team, consider volunteering under a team leader.

According to the Alliance for the Great Lakes (AGL), “more than 40,000 pounds of litter were picked up from Great Lakes beaches during Adopt-a-Beach 2016.”

You can schedule your cleanup now for Spring Kickoff, which is April 1-Memorial Day. Plus, AGL will hold in-person and online team leader trainings to teach you how to hold the best cleanup ever. Find a training that fits your schedule.
