Each year, Buffalo State celebrates its fashion and textile achievements with a runway show. The event brings together the students and professors involved with the Fashion and Textile Technology (FTT) Department. It’s a way for emerging stars to show off their talents, while continuing to build their portfolios.
Following the theme “Remember/Imagine” student designers have tapped into fashion influences from the past that will inform styles of the future.
The 2017 runway show theme is “Remember/Imagine”. This year marks the 10th anniversary of Buffalo State’s annual Runway extravaganza. The show will feature original designs, and prints on fabric. To mark the special occasion, runway fashions will be donned by upwards of 150 professional models, in what will be a “highly stylized” event.
Hollywood celebrity stylist and designer Ade Samuel, ’07, will serve as a guest judge.
Remember/Imagine is a pre juried runway show that is open to the public. Remember/Imagine is also juried – the designers/collections will compete for first, second and third place.
The event takes place on April 22 at 8:00 p.m. in the Buffalo State Sports Arena – 1300 Elmwood Avenue, Buffalo, NY.
Admission is $10.VIP passes are $100 and include a private catered reception and swag bag.
