As if shopping local during the holidays wasn’t great enough, there’s an opportunity to do some shopping at a classic old firehouse locate at 1655 Elmwood Avenue. If you’ve ever had the opportunity to eat at Just Vino (one of the city’s greatest Italian restaurants), then you’ve probably spied this gorgeously restored firehouse across the street. Unfortunately, we only get a chance to view this beauty from the outside. Or do we?
Watercolors, Oils, Woodworking = WOW
From Friday, December 2 to Sunday December 4, the firehouse will open its doors as part of the 16th annual Holiday Open Studios and Galleries. This special show features the woodcrafting of Lou Haremski, along with the oil and watercolor paintings of Mary Begley and Mike Killelea.
The show will be open Friday, from 5pm to 9pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 6pm. The works on display will also be for sale.
