Modern Infill Planned for 121 School Street

The Preservation and Planning Board agendas are much more useful these days as the City is now posting full application packets for public review prior to meetings. One of the smaller projects on the December 19 agenda is something many people have been clamoring for: new, modern-design construction. A single-family home is planned for a corner lot at 121 School Street on the west side.

Michael Anderson’s Abstract Architecture designed the two-story home that will contain two bedrooms, two and a half baths, and 1,170 sq.ft. of living space. The exterior is a combination of painted metal siding and plywood paneling. Off-street parking is provided in the rear of the lot accessed from Plymouth Avenue. The lot is 30’ by 100’.

The property owner is building the house with an estimated cost of $150,000.
