Michael Angelakos (born May 19, 1987), the frontman for the indietronica band Passion Pit, hails from Buffalo. It is for that reason that he recently reached out to his alma matter, Nichols School, to seek out the talents of the students who now appear in one of his latest videos. The production was for a new video album of Christmas music.
According to the PR department at Nichols, “The video was shot at Nichols and stars Nichols students. The world premier is tomorrow night (Wednesday) at the North Park Theatre. Michael chose Nichols because the arts department had a profound effect on his growth as an artist.”
Passion Pit fans can read more about the project here. In the meantime, enjoy this video. The red carpet release of the video is not open to the public.
The album goes on sale on iTunes on Friday.
Here is the first video, shot in the FPAC at Nichols School:
While living in Buffalo, he developed an appreciation for ska, forming the locally successful band, Cherry Bing. He also experimented with a number of other musical ventures throughout his years at Nichols School, delving into different musical forms and composition expanding his musical acumen. – Wikipedia
