On Thursday afternoon, Buffalo Sabres player Zach Bogosian was spotted moonlighting behind the counter at The Healthy Scratch restaurant inside the HarborCenter in downtown Buffalo. For a few hours, the towering defensemen was whipping up his newly created “Bogo Bunch Juice” and serving them to the public. Proceeds from the sale of the juice went towards Bogosian’s BOGO Bunch Foundation, a non-profit charity that creates a family atmosphere for those in need.
The act of making healthy juices is not unfamiliar to Bogosian and his wife Bianca, as they love to juice. They enjoy making beverages that provide them with energy and wellness. In fact, juicers are playing an important role in Bogosian’s “Casino for a Cause” fundraiser on Saturday, January 7 at the Town Ballroom. The event will benefit the Buffalo Wellness Center’s Juicer Fund and Roswell Park Cancer Institute. The Buffalo Wellness Center provides juicers to cancer patients, which help them fight the disease. “Casino for a Cause” will include live music, an auction, food, cocktails and Bogosian and his Sabres teammates working the gaming tables.
