BRO Gift Guide turns up Backgammon, Key Bottle Opener, Clutches…

My search for some fun holiday gifts led me to Downtown Buffalo today. Being a fan of Furnishings, I figured that it would be a no-brainer to pick out a couple of options. Upon first walking into gift boutique, I came across a handsome backgammon table. Being a fan of the game, I couldn’t resist adding it to my list. After all, who doesn’t like backgammon? Backgammon – $70

From there, I came across a necessity that no beer lover should be without – a bottle opener that looks like a key. Just add it to your key chain ensemble, and you’re good to go. Only you will know that there is a bottle opener on your key chain, until you come to the rescue of a beer geek in need. Key bottle opener – $10

I also couldn’t resist these exquisite clutch purses that store owner Joe Incao pointed out. They resemble some of the more expensive models such as Miu Miu, yet they retail at a much, much lower cost. These are super fun – girls will rock them out big time! Clutch purses $40-$58

At the end of my browsing excursion, I could not help but notice that Furnishings was stocking Blue Table Chocolates, made right here in Buffalo. It was the perfect wrap-up to an already successful gift hunt. Blue Table Chocolates $9-$16

I must also make honorable mention of Joe’s storefront windows. Take a close look. What you see is a display made from a number of discarded shipping packages. Instead of simply tossing out the boxes, he cleverly built out a professional-looking display that rivals the best of them. I had no idea that the display was crafted from cardboard until Joe pointed it out.

For those who are looking for something a little bit different, it’s time to scope out the gift selections at Furnishings in Downtown Buffalo. | 500 Main Street | LL Berger Building/The Belesario | (716) 381-8275 | Facebook
