Tipico Coffee Celebrates One Year In Business

toast-tipico-buffalo-nyTipico Coffee is currently celebrating its one year anniversary. Since opening, the neighborhood boutique coffee shop has become a revered business on the city’s West Side. With year one under its belt, the café has had time to settle in. As of late, owner Jesse Crouse has managed to evaluate the business, while striking up new business relationships, and introducing new offerings to his customers (including a salami baguette).

Currently, Jesse is rolling out a week+ of customer appreciation specials that show his gratitude for the business that he has garnered. The series of specials also represents the various new menu offerings and local culinary partnerships that Tipico continues to introduce/cultivate.

The first year has been amazing; basically, I’m so grateful that so much of Buffalo has embraced us into their daily lives. It feels like we are a part of a community, and as we grow I hope to keep that a priority.

Tipico specials this week are as follows:

  • All Week: $2 Coffee Any Size
  • Monday: $5 Coffee and Pastry 
  • Tuesday: $4 Off Coffee Bags
  • Wednesday: $5 Coffee and Toast
  • Thursday: $5 Breakfast Sandwiches
  • Friday: $5 Coffee and Pastry

I asked Jesse about the egg sandwiches that are currently found on the permanent menu, and he sent along the following:

  • Egg and Cheese (Herbed Goat Cheese, Manchego and Sous Vide Egg)
  • The Pig (Stoneground Mustard, The Piggery Ham, Manchego and Sous Vide Egg)

Apparently, there are more breakfast sandwich offerings on the way. “We have another sandwich being adapted currently that will feature a spice Giardiniera from Barrel and Brine,” said Jesse. “We are celebrating this week with some specials (see above) and will culminate in a Toast Takeover next weekend (11/19 and 11/20) where Barrel and Brine will be taking over our toast menu on Saturday and Jill from Nickel City Cheese and Lait Cru Brasserie will be taking it over on Sunday. Should be a lot of fun!”
