The Bird’s Nest – Circus Arts in Buffalo

More and more these days, we find ourselves at events that feature activities and performances that include acro yoga, aerial dancing, contortion, fire spinning, hooping, tumbling, dancing, etc. For years, these groups have been making their marks at events such as Music is Art, The Witches Ball, Madd Tiki Winter Luau, and countless other music festivals, demonstrations and neighborhood gatherings.

Finally, there is a place where all of these “Circus Artists” can come together under one roof. It’s called The Bird’s Nest. Currently, there is a crowdfunding campaign underway to jumpstart this initiative that will support performances and classes in the Circus Arts.

The Bird’s Nest aims to create a safe space that promotes health through non-conventional ways of moving and collaboration.

In order to get the ball rolling, organizers, performers and supporters will be hosting a free event at The Bird’s Nest – 64 Fillmore Avenue. This will be the new practice and events space for all those who are interested in supporting this unique lifestyle that has been growing in Buffalo for years.

At the event, visitors will be able to learn about the The Bird’s Nest, pick up some merch and swag, and meet others who are involved with the new drive. Memberships will also be available. Food, drink and music will be offered on a donation basis. Guests at the event will also be treated to performances by those who are already rallying behind The Bird’s Nest.

Come support the people that make Buffalo such a unique place to live. This city would not be the same without these wonderful characters who are always finding creative and inventive ways to live life to the fullest.
