The Buffalo Barkyard needs your help. Buffalo’s first off leash dog park is always looking for creative ways to raise funds in order to keep the LaSalle Park pooch playground looking and operating up to snuff.
On Sunday, December 4, the pet-loving community is invited to bring their animal friends to the Ellicott Square Building for “Photos with Santa”. The funds raised during the four hour photo session will benefit The Barkyard and The City of Buffalo Animal Shelter.
“The Barkyard is privately funded (which not many people know) so we have events to help raise funds,” said Holly Ann Christiano, Board Member at the Buffalo Barkyard. “At this event, people can bring their dogs to get a photo on Santa’s Lap. There will be raffles and a bake sale too. For this particular event, all proceeds will be split between The City of Buffalo Animal Shelter and The Barkyard. By organizing and promoting the event, we are hoping to let more people know where the Barkyard is, and how they can donate to the park and volunteer.”
Aside from photos of Santa along with pets, animal lovers will also get a chance to meet a few of the adoptable pets from the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter.
