250 Delaware has a new name. The building that houses the global headquarters for Delaware North is now appropriately called “The Delaware North Building”. Delaware North and Uniland Development Company announced the name change to pay respects to the Buffalo-born hospitality and food service company that serves as the anchor for the building. The building is also home to The Westin Buffalo and Patina 250, both of which are operated by the privately held company.
“Delaware North and the Jacobs family are proud of our new footprint in the city – especially with the recent openings of The Westin Buffalo, Patina 250 and Jake’s Café – and we’re excited about the great reaction we’ve been getting from our community,” said Dan Zimmer, vice president of corporate finance and development for Delaware North. “The building has also played a significant role in enhancing Delaware North’s brand image in Buffalo and for the many clients, business partners and employees who visit from around the world.”
Moving forward, the building will be known as The Delaware North Building. At the same time, people will still loosely refer to it for its address at 250 Delaware. It is àpropos that the Buffalo born and based company finally aligned with its namesake street – Delaware Avenue. The building is currently celebrating its one year anniversary.
